What is a Cystoscopy?
A hollow tube called a cystoscope carrying a lens is inserted into the urethra and makes its way into the bladder, allowing the doctor to examine both the interior of the bladder and the tube through which urine is expelled from the body. This is an important tool for diagnosing and treating urinary tract problems or collecting biopsies for further screening.
